So my friend's school fellowship folded roses and hearts for each female student in their whole school (about 500) to give out today. On the rose stem was a folded up message:
On that note, here's a beautiful love song from God. =)

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by Glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me
Oh how he loves us, so
Oh How he loves us, how he loves us so
We are his portion and he is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in his eyes
If grace is an ocean we’re all sinking
So, heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way
He loves us,
Oh how he loves us,
Oh how he loves us,
how he loves us so
Yeah he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves
A lot of the time, I find myself chasing after the wrong kind of love, and that never ends up too well. The wonderful thing about God is that his love is unconditional, agape* love. Love that comes from God is good. The love that we have made it to be in our society, is a fake, pirated copy of God's love. Without God, there is no love. Therefore, if God is not a part of the love you have with "that special someone", then i'm afraid it isn't true love. The love that humans have turned God's good love into is something that can only satisfy us temporarily, and there will still be somewhere deep inside us that longs for the unconditional, awesome love that only God can provide. God has never and will never let us down when we cry out to Him. He is always there for us, even in times where we seem to be unable to sense His presence. Sometimes we're so clouded by the things of this world, things that do not matter in the eternal spectrum of life, that we turn completely away from God, but He is always standing there in the sidelines, screaming for us to return to Him, telling us to listen for Him to guide us instead of relying on our own strength. I love this song because of all the meaning behind it, even just the first line, God is jealous for me. It tears Him apart when He watches us blindly search for the wrong kind of love that exists only in our world, a love that has been tainted by sin and that can only be pure if God's part of it.
* there are four different types of love (greek terms), all which are good, but the way we interpret them/act on them in modern society is a bit messed up. Think about it this way; if Satan wanted to tempt humans into sin, would he use something that humans dislike? of course not. he's smart enough to twist the good things that God has made and given to us, to cloak it and make it into something that humans will fall for, and wrongfully desire.
Agape - unconditional love - God's love for us (humans)
Philia - from Philiadepia, the city of brotherly love, a type of love that exists between close friends
Storge - Love for family members and relatives
Eros - love between a man and his wife
